What a beautiful fall day it was to walk along the boardwalk in Manistique, Michigan on the northern shore of Lake Michigan.
I knew I had traveled a far distance over the weekend.
What I didn’t realize: it’s shorter to travel to Chicago, Illinois from Manistique, Michigan than to return back to metro Detroit, Michigan area where I had driven from.
Guess I had driven far enough north and west in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan that the southern tip of Lake Michigan was closer than my home!
