Thanks to WXYZ’s Auto Show Tweetup, I had the opportunity to get a sneak peek of the 2016 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
In 2010, I attended the first Auto Show tweetup, along with 18 others. We toured the show in one hour at Cobo Center in downtown Detroit, as we tweeted photos of the fantastic new vehicles and concept cars.
Six years later, and this year’s tweetup has grown to 100 people and expanded to a two-hour look at the 2016 and 2017 vehicles.
It was great to meet up with my friend Jackie Harper, who I haven’t seen in a couple years. It was only through connecting with Jackie on Twitter that I found out about the first auto show tweetup.
I had a fabulous time checking out the vehicles! Sitting in a beautiful red Chevrolet Corvette, I pretended I was driving on the expressway. I marveled at the dashboard of the Mazda 6.
And when I got tired of walking about, I enjoyed the deep plush of the carpeting at the Subaru exhibit.
If you get a chance to attend the show, I hope you enjoy it!
Check out some of my other photos from the show.
