What a difference it makes to visit Niagara Falls in spring!
The last time I was here was the winter of 2015.
People who live in Ontario, Canada and U.S. states that border the Great Lakes remember that winter as one of the coldest on record.
Our area in southeastern Michigan broke a coldest winter record that dated back to the 1880’s.
When I visited Niagara Falls in 2015, the temperature was four degrees below zero, the falls were mostly frozen, and the trees and shrubs near the falls were covered in sparkling ice and snow.
This week, the temperatures were in the mid-60’s, the water poured over the falls, trees were budding out with green leaves and beautiful spring flowers were blooming.
Whether it’s winter, spring, summer, or fall, it’s always an impressive sight to see Niagara Falls!
