If there’s one thing Michigan folks enjoy in summer, it’s fresh sweet corn, Michigan blueberries, and one of my favorites: Michigan peaches!
A local orchard comes to our Sunday farmer’s market to sell their vegetables and fruits, including their delicious Red Haven peaches.
Today I picked up a bag of peaches and I’m already sorry I didn’t get two bags so I could make some peach pie or jam.
When I was growing up, dad always said to eat Red Haven peaches; the flavor is wonderful and the pit is easy to remove.
I remember picking our own Red Havens from a peach tree in the back yard.
Red Havens aren’t in season long, so you have to get them while you can!
