When I learned Vernors was launching a limited edition of Vernors Boston Cooler flavor this summer, I knew I’d be checking it out.
For sale only in Michigan and Toledo, Ohio, I discovered the limited edition would only be available from July through September 2025.
I finally bought a bottle in September and did my own taste test.
Yes, it tastes like the Boston Cooler I made when I was growing up in metro Detroit, using Vernors and vanilla ice cream.
Brought back memories of sitting on our front porch in the shade of a hot summer afternoon and enjoying a Boston Cooler with my best friend.
I’ve heard other people who drank the limited edition flavor thought it had too much of a vanilla taste.
Not to me.
I rarely drink soda pop. Probably nor more than six a year, if that.
But when I do, it’s Vernors ginger ale or root beer.
When I told a family member visiting from out-of-state this weekend about the limited edition, they quickly visited our local Meijer store to buy some.
And told me they picked up the last 12-pack of cans.
Glad I bought mine in September!
