Gray skies and cooler temperatures didn’t keep car owners from showing off their cars at this year’s Hell on Wheels Car Show at the 2022 Plymouth Fall Festival.
Lined up on Forest Avenue in downtown Plymouth, Michigan, the classic and custom cars were a hit with festival goers on Sunday morning.
Since most activities don’t start until 11am or noon on Sunday, people gathered around to oooh and ahhh as owners shared the history of the cars.
This 1949 black Mercury Coupe was one of my favorite cars, standing out with the Mercury logo emblem on the seats.
Second time I’ve seen the Mercury emblem embossed on seats, last time was 10 years ago at the 2012 Canton Liberty Fest car show in Canton, Michigan.

Check out the metallic Mercury logo behind the back seat. The owner told me it’s a gas cap and he had it added to the car when he redid the interior.
While I missed Cruisin’ Hines Drive in August this year, I was glad to check out the Hell on Wheels show. Are you a fan of classic car shows or cruises?
