Photo of the Week: Graylag Goose

A bird seen regularly at Waterworks Park, you’ll often find almost two dozen Graylag Goose (domestic type) birds in the parking lot or along the shoreline at the popular park near downtown Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Along with the Canada Geese and Mallards, the Graylag Goose (domestic) is seen year round at the park.

The Graylag Goose is native to northern and central Eurasia. The geese at Waterworks have been domesticated and have been sighted at the park for many years.
