On the major road in our community, near the interstate entrance and exit, our downtown development authority has an artistic display using straw bales.
The designs change several times a year. It’s always fun to check out the new display.
It’s been going on for years, maybe a decade?
When I drive by, I’ll see bales designed and painted for specific days, like Easter or Halloween.
One of my favorite designs was when the bales were arranged and painted in a snowflake design to welcome in the winter season.
This week, for the first time, the downtown development authority chose something other than a season or a holiday for the display.
