After taking so many photos of other churches in the past few months, I realized I’ve taken few pictures of my own church, First Presbyterian Church of Plymouth.
Our family’s been a member of First Presbyterian for over ten years.
After being a member of Moravian and Methodist churches in the past, teaching Logos and Sunday School, Missions chairperson, and Administrative leader for the church, I was searching for a nearby church with a strong youth program for our son, who was in grade school at the time.

We visited First Presbyterian, and met up with several families we knew from past soccer and basketball teams our son belonged to.
I remember sitting in the pews with my eight-year-old son who was looking at the stained glass windows, and hearing my son say “I know who Matthais is.”
The members at First Presbyterian made us all feel welcome. Our son fit in easily with the kids in his Sunday School class, and my husband and I enjoyed being part of an active church with their many activities for adults.
It was funny that when we left our existing church, they had just finished a year long construction project which had me teaching Sunday School on the floor of one of the rooms for weeks.
When we joined First Presbyterian, they were kicking off a major construction addition to their church. My husband and I joked that construction projects seemed to be following us.
