This week in southeast Michigan seemed to be a never-ending run of cloudy and chilly days.
I love fall in Michigan, with clear blue skies and trees covered in bright orange, red, and gold colors.
But fall in Michigan also brings days with clouds, rain, and gray skies.
Which is when I visited the Lake Erie shoreline near the Michigan/Ohio state border.
The east wind blew briskly across the lake, making for challenging flights for Bonaparte’s Gulls and Double-crested Cormorants over the water as well as White-throated Sparrows foraging in the shoreline shrubs.
If you look closely over the rough waters, you may see a silhouette of some gulls.
Thankfully by the time the weekend arrived, we finally had some extended sunshine to enjoy.
