Our family has a tradition of hiking the trails at Kensington Metro Park, near Milford, Michigan, on New Year’s Day.
We spend our time birdwatching, looking for tracks in the snow, and taking in the beauty of the winter woods.
This year, since we couldn’t all be together on New Year’s Day 2017, we moved our hike to Christmas Day.
With gray, cloudy skies, few people were on the trails today. We enjoyed the serenity and quiet of the woods on our hike.
