Photo of the Week: Blue Skies

Our summer in southeast Michigan, like summer for many others in the Northern Hemisphere, has been a mix of high temperatures, intense rainstorms, high humidity, and wildfire smoke drifting from Canada.

Overcast, gray skies seemed to be the norm for weeks.

It was rare to get more than two days of sunshine before another storm moved through.

Or multiple days of air quality alerts would keep people inside or limit time outside.

Until this past week, when it seemed folks in southeast Michigan could experience a more typical (in the past) week of summer.

Except for one day of intense thunderstorms, it was a week to enjoy:

Sunny, blue skies with fluffy white clouds, low humidity, comfortable temperatures in the mid-70’s to low 80’s Farenheit, and no air quality alerts from wildfire smoke.

Good reminder to celebrate small things.
