I know this isn’t my typical colorful photo of the week, not a rare bird sighting in our area or a beautiful mural of Aretha Franklin in Detroit, Michigan.
But when my green beans sprouted through the soil and grew almost three inches overnight, I had to share!
I planted my green beans in our vegetable garden earlier this week. I didn’t soak the seeds before I planted them, the seeds were planted directly in the soil.
It took me by surprise to see some of the green beans sprouted through the soil after only three days.
Imagine my shock this morning when I discovered a row of green beans sprouted overnight, to almost three inches tall in the garden!
When I checked the garden last night, none of the beans in the row had broken through the soil.
But this morning, there they were!
I’ve been vegetable gardening since I was four years old. I know beans can grow quickly.
But I’ve never seen them sprout so quickly overnight!
