If you’re like me, unhappy to learn about The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (Wayback Machine) being cancelled, check out this seven-minute video clip from the July 21, 2025 show. When you visit Detroit’s riverfront along the Detroit River, I hope you find time to take a ride on the Cullen Family Carousel at Cullen Plaza.

Open Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 7PM Eastern Time from late May to Labor Day (the first Monday in September), the carousel offers free rides.

What I Found Interesting: July 16, 2025

A journey that began in 2017 to hike from the tip of South America to the northernmost top of Alaska, a site to learn how to tie all kinds of knots, and learning the history of the English language in 22 minutes are some of the interesting stories I’ve read and enjoyed in the past month.
