What I Found Interesting: April 16, 2025

A novel idea for moving over 9,000 books, ibises following their foster human parents on a migration journey from the Alps to Spain, and evidence suggesting how the Egyptian pyramids were really built are a few of the fascinating stories I’ve read and enjoyed over the past month.

Happy 97th Birthday, Tom Lehrer!

A very happy 97th birthday to Tom Lehrer, American child prodigy, songwriter, satirist, pianist, and mathematics lecturer.

I first heard about Tom Lehrer years ago, when I took high school chemistry.

My chemistry teacher, Mr. O as we called him, was the kind of teacher you and your friends would visit after school in the chemistry lab for 1 1/2 hours.
