- 2020: 93% of Americans Say Internet Service Outage During COVID-19 Outbreak Would Impact Daily Life: According to the findings from a Pew Research Center American Trends Panel survey released in April 2020, the first year of the COVID pandemic.
One item that caught my attention in the survey results: the large difference in women vs. men reporting how an internet or cellphone outage would impact their lives. - 2019: How to Allow Other People to Add Captions to Your YouTube Videos where I shared how I added English captions to two videos in Troy Hunt’s HTTPS YouTube video series.
Which kicked off a community effort to translate the series into 16 other languages, using community contributions.
Unfortunately, YouTube removed the community contributions feature in 2020. - 2018: Photo of the Week: Can You Hear Me Now? My weekly photo highlighted the Cincinnati Bell Telephone building with rotary telephones and headphones carved into the building outside walls!
