You’re invited to join us at our next Metro Detroit WordPress meetup Monday, March 13, 2017 as we host Distributed, Working Remotely at Automattic.
Our March meetup features member George Hotelling, who recently joined Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com, Jetpack plugin, VaultPress backup and security service, WooCommerce ecommerce plugin, Akismet anti-spam service, and other online services.
George will discuss his experiences working remotely at Automattic. He’ll share what it takes to work in a distributed company and how WordPress is used to get things done.
Speaker Background
George is a JavaScript Wrangler at Automattic. He lives in Canton, Michigan with his wife, two children, and two dogs.
In his spare time he enjoys brewing beer, video games, and getting outside.
Meetup Information and Registration
The meetup is Monday, March 13, 2017 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm and requires pre-registration by March 12.
We’re meeting at Grand Circus 1570 Woodward Avenue in downtown Detroit (directions and map).
Cost is $5.00. Refreshments and snacks will be available.

As always, we’ll have time to network, troubleshoot WordPress issues, and answer WordPress questions at the end of the meetup.
