Hard to believe today marks 27 years since the final episode of M*A*S*H* aired.
Goodbye, Farewell and Amen was the 251st episode of the show.
It held the honor of being the most watched television episode in US history from 1983 to 2010.
I remember getting together at a friend’s Ypsilanti apartment to watch the final show with college dance friends.
We partied, shared jokes from previous episodes, and ate too much food.
Over the years, the group had seen lots of relationships develop, and we extended our friendships with camping, backpacking, canoeing, and dance conventions.
Little did I know our get together would be one of the last casual gatherings for our group.
That year saw five marriages in our group of friends. People started moving out of state, away from the college towns we had settled in after graduation.
