Inspiration for 2022, My Three Words

Rather than setting specific resolutions for 2022, I’m following the lead of Chris Brogan who has recommended My Three Words for over 15 years.

The concept behind Brogan’s My Three Words is to

choose three words that will help guide your choices and actions day to day.

Among his recommendations are

  • Use a single word, not a phrase
  • Make the word actionable
  • Stick with the three words all year

Which in my mind meant the words needed to be verbs or adverbs.

Words to help me focus and shape my decisions.

My Three Words for 2022

It didn’t take me long to identify my three words for 2022:

  • Simplify: remove complexity
  • Move: both physically and mentally.
  • Balance: work toward more balance in my life

Brogan’s advice for implementing the words into your life?

Review them every day.

Make the words part of your plans for each day.

Like a compass, use the words to guide you in your daily decisions and plans.

I’m hoping the words will help me make decisions quicker and guide me in the coming year.

How about you?

Are you planning to participate in #My3Words this year? If yes, what are your words?
