How to View Jetpack’s Modules in One List

When you install the Jetpack plugin on your WordPress site, you’ll find an array of helpful features. From security to analytics to site subscriptions and more, Jetpack comes packed with extensive services to manage and improve your site.

Once the plugin is installed, you’ll notice the Jetpack design team have organized the features (called modules) in the Jetpack plugin dashboard.

But for many users, finding that one module to activate or configure can be time-consuming. Which is what happened with one of my clients.

They contacted me to share their frustration when they tried to activate the Sitemaps module in the Jetpack WordPress plugin on their site.

Why can’t I find it? Can you help me?

They were exasperated with how Jetpack modules were organized in different pages; they couldn’t find the option to enable Sitemaps.

I couldn’t blame them for being frustrated. My client asked

Why is it so hard to find Jetpack modules? Can’t I see them in one list?

I replied, Yes, you can see them in one list.

Here’s what I shared with my client.

View Jetpack’s Modules in One List

Once you’ve logged into your site:

  1. Go to Jetpack > Dashboard
Jetpack plugin dashboard interface highlighting Site Stats and Security.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Modules from the footer links.

  3. Yay! The list of all the Jetpack modules displays.

What You Can Do in Jetpack List View

By default, the list of all the Jetpack modules initially displays in alphabetical order.

But you can change the view by using the Active or Inactive options. Or the Newest or Popular filters.

In addition, you can use the Sort option to view the modules by Newest or Popular.

One of the features I like about viewing the modules in one list: you can search for the module you want.

You also have the option to view modules by category. For example, when you choose the Social category, you’ll see modules for Likes, Publicize, Subscriptions, and more.

A few notes:

  1. As you view the list of modules, you’ll notice a thick blue border to the left of each module, which indicates the module is active on your site.
  2. The checkbox next to each module allows you to deactivate or activate a module.
  3. To change settings of activated modules, select the Configure option for that module.

Summary

It’s frustrating when you have to search through multiple screens to find the Jetpack module you want.

Following the steps I described, you can view all Jetpack modules in one list so you can activate/deactivate modules as you choose.
