Visiting Greenfield Village has been a part of my life ever since my first visit as a Brownie in Girl Scouts. I have fond memories of hearing Thomas Edison’s voice recording in his laboratory, playing games on the Village Green, and watching old-fashioned baseball games in the summer.
With the special $5 admission today, I spent the afternoon wondering through the Village, enjoying the fall colors and listening to docents talk about farming, glassblowing, weaving and American life in the 1800’s.
