Whether you’re new to WordPress or have been using it for awhile, you’ll want to check out the latest version of a resource I’ve been recommending for years.
Released yesterday, the popular Easy WP Guide WordPress Manual by Anthony Hortin of Maddison Designs, has been updated with the latest features and enhancements to WordPress 4.5.
Easy WP Guide is ideal for users, content strategists, digital marketers, anyone who adds or manages content on your WordPress site.
The guide is available online as web pages, which I prefer since it’s easier to access across all my devices.
In addition, Horton has made the guide available as a free PDF (34M).
ePub and MobiPocket formats are available for a low fee. The guide has also been translated into multiple languages.
What Does Easy WP Guide Include?
Whether you’re looking for information on how to add images, change your post format, or style your headings, Easy WP Guide has you covered.
The guide takes a logical approach to learning about managing your WordPress content, by starting you out at the beginning: how to log in to your site.
Hortin walks you through the Dashboard, describing what each menu option means.
He then turns to the Toolbar options, explaining how you can access common WordPress features without having to return to the Dashboard.
The manual covers all kinds of how-to information about maintaining and updating your site content. Here’s a few chosen topics from the table of contents:
- Dashboard
- Posts versus Pages
- Adding your Site Content
- Adding Images and Other Media
- Deleting Content
- Tags
- Tools
- Settings
- Keeping your Site Updated

I’m always excited when the latest version of Easy WP Guide is released. I know I have a helpful WordPress resource to share with my clients and to point fellow Metro Detroit WordPress members to for tips on working with content on their site.
