The latest version of one of my favorite WordPress resources was released this week with updates for WordPress 5.9.
Easy WP Guide, the helpful guide for managing WordPress content, has been updated with new screenshots and information for the Block Editor, as well as new chapters about the Full Site Editor.
The guide includes 279 pages to help you learn about WordPress features and how to manage content on your site. Kudos to my friend Anthony Hortin for his work!
Given all the user interface changes, that was a lot of time and effort to capture and annotate screenshots for every block.
About Easy WP Guide
Created by Anthony Hortin of Maddison Designs, Easy WP Guide is an excellent guide to help you manage content on your WordPress site.
Without having to get into technical detail about how it all works.
The audience for the guide are content editors, digital marketers, business owners, and consultants.
It’s not intended for developers looking for a resource for developing or modifying themes or plugins.
One feature that stands out: Easy WP Guide offers information on how to use features in both the Block Editor and Classic Editor.
Which is another reason why I recommend Easy WP Guide to WordPress users. I know many people who prefer the simple editing interface of the Classic Editor over the Block Editor.
What Will You Find in Easy WP Guide?
Written in plain language, Easy WP Guide explains features with annotated screenshots, highlighting key concepts.
Hortin skillfully discusses the details and steps for managing content in WordPress.
The guide is organized by main topics. You can jump to any feature from the Table of Contents.
Here are a few of the items in the Table of Contents:
- Dashboard
- Posts versus Pages
- Adding your Site Content
- Block Editor
- Classic Editor
- Plugins
- Users
- Tools
- Settings
- Keeping Your Site Updated
For managing content on your site, Easy WP Guide is one of my recommended learning resources for self-hosted WordPress sites.

Wrapping Up
Easy WP Guide has been my dependable WordPress guide for years. I would rather use the guide than go searching on the WordPress.org site for how to use a specific feature.
I appreciate Hortin’s writing as he shares tips and advice for managing WordPress content.
If you’re looking for a well-written, organized guide for managing and updating content on your WordPress site, Easy WP Guide is the resource for you!
