Easy WP Guide Released for WordPress 6.1

One of my favorite WordPress resources, Easy WP Guide, has been released for WordPress 6.1.

The guide to managing WordPress content has been updated with new images for every block, to reflect the changes in the user interface.

You’ll also find descriptions and screenshots for new blocks introduced in WordPress 6.1.

As I’ve come to expect, my friend Anthony Hortin, the author of Easy WP Guide, has done an amazing job providing a helpful guide for updating and managing your WordPress website content.

I can’t recommend Easy WP Guide enough!

It’s helped me hundreds of times over the years in my own work. As well as my clients and members of the two WordPress meetup groups I help lead.

It’s one of the five resources I include in my online resources for learning WordPress.

What You’ll Find in Easy WP Guide

For anyone updating content on a WordPress site, Easy WP Guide offers useful how-to’s, tips, and screenshots to help you work on your site.

Hortin created a practical guide using plain language that helps you understand how to use WordPress to update your site.

You won’t find any coding jargon in the guide; Hortin explains basic concepts with detailed steps and annotations.

The guide is organized by main topics—Dashboard, Categories, Media Library, etc.—which you can drill down for more details.

You’ll find information for both the Block Editor (also known as Gutenberg) and the Classic Editor.

Here’s a partial listing of the Table of Contents:

  • Dashboard
  • Posts versus Pages
  • Adding your Site Content
  • Categories
  • Tags
  • Media Library
  • Comments
  • Appearance
  • Plugins
  • Users
  • Tools
  • Settings
  • Keeping Your Site Updated

For folks looking for more WordPress knowledge beyond managing content, the Where to From Here? section in Easy WP Guide provides links to the plugin and theme directories, WordPress Codex, and WordPress Support Forums.

Wrapping Up

When I first discovered Easy WP Guide, in 2013, I was ecstatic to find a guide explaining how to manage content in WordPress.

I’d been looking for a resource to share with my clients, who wanted to manage their site content, but were frustrated with lack of documentation for non-technical users.

Thanks to Anthony Hortin for his dedication updating the guide regularly with new info, screenshots, and annotations after every major WordPress release.

Whether you’re new to WordPress or have been using it for years, add this well-written, organized guide to your WordPress resources!
