One of the things I like about using Hover for domain registration is how easy it is to manage email notifications I receive.
They’re one of the few domain registrars I’ve used that make it quick for me to:
- Find the section in my account information
- Customize the settings
I wish more domain registrars paid as much attention to organizing, structuring, and labeling content in customers’ accounts.
Once I log in to my account, I choose:
- Settings > Notifications
- In Domain Notices section, I change my reminder options
I decide how many pre-renewal reminder and post-renewal notices I want to receive.
What I like about Hover’s Domain Notices section setup:
- Clean layout, lots of white space, clear labels in their interface
- Choices allow me to quickly change/update options
- Changes are automatic, no need to select Save to save my selections
Since I retired from web design and development work in December 2022, I don’t spend a lot of time with domain names anymore.
Small details matters.
I appreciate Hover’s focus on customers in creating an interface that is understandable (don’t make me think!), clearly labeled, and doesn’t require multiple steps.
