Today is Random Acts of Kindness Day, a day for you to lend a helping hand or show someone you care though a message or kind gesture.
We all know a small act of kindness can make all the difference to someone, especially when they’re struggling or feeling low.
Here’s your opportunity to pay it forward to your family member, friend, co-worker, or stranger you pass by in the street.
Need some ideas to get started? Here you go:
- Write a thank you note to a coworker
- Call a friend
- Pay someone a compliment
- Hold the door open for someone
- Make a meal for someone
- Let someone else go first
- Smile at the next person you pass on the sidewalk
- Mentor someone
- Check in with a friend or family member you haven’t spoken to in a while
- Send a card or eCard to a friend or family member
- Pay the bridge toll for the driver behind you (we do this all the time when we cross the Mackinac Bridge in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula)
How are you paying it forward on Random Acts of Kindness Day?
