In the United States, Memorial Day is a national holiday, celebrated on the fourth Monday in May.
It’s a day for remembering and honoring men and women military personnel who died in the service of our country; those who died in battle or as a result of wounds sustained in battle.
Something new I learned about Memorial Day this year is the National Moment of Remembrance. At 3pm local time on Memorial Day, Americans are asked to pause in a moment of remembrance.
