In 2006, after years of saving bookmarks in the browser, I started using an online bookmarking service.

I was tired of opening up one of the three browsers I used, only to remember the bookmarks I saved were in another browser.

An online bookmarking service meant I wouldn’t need to use one specific browser, which was one of my goals.

As well as being better able to tag, organize, and collect my bookmarks.

Memories From My First Technology Job

Given my retirement from web design and development in December 2022, I’ve found myself looking through lots of physical and digital files: images, logos, email messages, code, apps, and more.

Call it what you will:

  • Organizing
  • Simplifying
  • Decluttering

It all adds up to the same thing – reviewing all kinds of stuff I’ve saved/stored for 25+ years.

Domain Email Notifications: Hover Does It Right

One of the things I like about using Hover for domain registration is how easy it is to manage email notifications I receive.

They’re one of the few domain registrars I’ve used that make it quick for me to:

  1. Find the section in my account information
  2. Customize the settings

I wish more domain registrars paid as much attention to organizing, structuring, and labeling content in customers’ accounts.
