When I was growing up, we always had an old car in the driveway. It didn’t run, but it didn’t matter.

Dad loved to have an old car around that he could work on.

And we loved having an old car around that we could play in.

For the past several years, I do my best to visit the Peony Garden at Nichols Arboretum on the campus of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor to see the blooming historic peonies.

I was on my way home from visiting the Peony Garden at the University of Michigan Nichols Arboretum this weekend when I decided to stop at Gallup Park.

It’s been a couple months since I last visited Gallup, and I wanted to see waterbirds on the Huron River.
