Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore along the southern shore of Lake Superior in the Upper Peninsula is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Michigan.

A few dedicated sun worshippers were on the beach when I took this shot of Marquette Harbor Lighthouse in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula on the southern shore of Lake Superior.

Photo of the Week: Fall Colors in Marquette, Michigan

Fall colors around Marquette Michigan, with view of the harbor

It was mid-afternoon when I made it to Sugarloaf last week, about seven miles outside of Marquette, Michigan.

The weather had changed from the bright sunny skies earlier in the day to a gray covered sky, with the prospect of rain and storms coming soon.
