I’ve heard that trilling sound hundreds of times when I’m birding on the back dirt roads of Michigan.

Long before I can spot the birds.

Photo of the Week: First Ornament on our Christmas Tree

Hand-painted Santa Claus ornament.

A hand-painted metallic ornament was the first ornament we hung on our Christmas tree this year. The round silver ornament depicts Santa Claus in his red robe and matching stocking cap trimmed with white fur, carrying an overstuffed bag of goodies to the Christmas tree. One of my favorite ornaments!
