When Christian Heilmann posted his tweet this morning, I nodded my head.
Almost every week I host an event for a local meetup group and have to deal with a similar issue.
The photo Heilmann shared in his tweet shows seven different cables to connect to ports on digital devices.
Which is the reason why I started carrying this handy tool this year whenever I host an event:

My tool has six different adapters for digital devices, including adapters for Mac and Windows.
I also bring my Chromebook to events I host.
It has ports for HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface), VGA (Video Graphics Array), and USB (Universal Serial Bus) 2.0.
I long for the day when there’s one universal standard.
As I expected, many people on Twitter shared their thoughts about dealing with different digital ports. Here’s some of the conversation from Twitter.
@codepo8 The great thing about standards is that there’s so many of them.

@codepo8 @digitalWestie agreed! Thanks to @intel for this beauty! pic.twitter.com/4R2rcn2jYt

@redcrew @codepo8 That’s exactly my point. I only need one for all Samsung, Lenovo, LG, Motorola, Google, smartphones and tablets.

@codepo8 Doesn’t matter for Apple apparently. Every god damn device has a brand new charger.Gimme USB and HDMI and I’m good 99% of the time.

How about you? How do you deal with the chargers and connections for all the different ports on your digital devices?
