New Video Explains the Fediverse

Like many people who moved to the fediverse over the past few years, I’ve struggled to explain to folks on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other social media what the fediverse is.

And all the benefits it offers.

For me, no ads, no algorithm, no corporate ownership, and no surveillance were the top reasons I left the social media platform formerly called Twitter and moved to Mastodon.

Celebrate National Trails Day June 7

Did you know June 7 is National Trails Day (NTD) in the United States?

Held the first Saturday in June, National Trails Day is hosted by the American Hiking Society. It’s a day of public events for the community to celebrate, promote, steward, and conserve our trails.
