Affinity Ends 90-Day Free Trial and 50% Product Discount June 30, 2021

In spring 2020, I was impressed when I learned Affinity was offering a 90-day free trial and 50 percent discounts off products to support people during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their products—alternatives to expensive licensing of Adobe’s Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign—offer a significant savings to designers, students, artists, and anyone who needs to manage and edit creative works.

I’ve been a fan of Affinity for years, and last week recommended their products to a former higher ed colleague looking for Adobe Illustrator and InDesign alternatives.

Originally, Affinity’s generous offer was available through June 20, 2020, but was extended in January 2021.

With no end date for the discount.

As with all good discounts, they come to an end.

Affinity announced their 90-day free trial and product discounts will end June 30, 2021.

About Affinity

Affinity suite of products includes Affinity Photo, Affinity Designer, and Affinity Publisher.

If you’re not familiar, Affinity products are produced by Serif, a company that launched in 1987.

Their Affinity Design vector design application launched in 2014, a welcome alternative to the creative community weary from Adobe’s licensing changes and price increases.

With the addition of Affinity Photo (photo editing) and Affinity Publisher (desktop publishing), Affinity created a suite of products for graphic design, photo editing, and desktop publishing.

One of the things I like about Affinity products: they’re available across platforms and devices, including Windows, Mac, and iPad.

What You Need to Know about the Free Trial and Discounts

Anyone can sign up for the 90-day product trial, with no obligation.

All you need to provide is your name, email address, and country.

To purchase one of their products, visit the Affinity store.

A few things to know:

  • Cost for Affinity Designer, Affinity Photo, and Affinity Publisher is $24.99. All products come with a 14-day money back guarantee.
  • Toolbox, brushes, paint bundles, font bundles, effects, and logo templates are all 50% off
  • Workbooks and t-shirts are not discounted

Affinity Learning Resources

If you’re looking for learning resources for their products, Affinity has a range of options, starting with an extensive video library which is updated regularly.

All videos are captioned.

As of June 23, 2021, Affinity has:

  • 62 videos for Affinity Publisher
  • 74 videos for Affinity Designer on desktop; 66 videos for Affinity Designer on iPad
  • 112 videos for Affinity Photo on desktop; 34 videos for Affinity Photo on iPad
  • 62 videos for Affinity Publisher on desktop

In addition, Affinity has an active user forum, free keyboard start guides and shortcuts (in PDF format) as well as workbooks you can purchase for all three products.

Summary

Once again, a grateful shoutout to Affinity for their support of the creative community during the COVID pandemic.

Their products are my first recommendations for anyone looking for graphics applications to install on digital devices.

With their 50% discount, excellent support, and strong user community, Affinity is a great option for anyone looking for design, photo, and layout applications.
