It’s one month later, a good time to review my New Year’s resolutions and see how I’m doing.
- Get to inbox zero once a week. Yep, I’ve managed to get to inbox zero each week. Woohoo! Keeping up with mail has always been a challenge for me. I’m feeling like I’m in control of my messages, and not the other way around.
- Post a photo every day. So far, I’ve enjoyed using my camera daily. Momentile makes it easy for me do a 365 day project. It’s low-key and casual, and I’ve had the opportunity to view some awesome photos by other users.
- Read a book a week. This has been the most challenging resolution for me, mostly due to time management. While three of the books I read this month were technical, CSS Mastery 2nd edition, Digging into WordPress, and Technical Writing 101, I escaped into the romantic tale The Wedding for my last book for January.
It’s been relatively easy to keep up with the resolutions, though there have been a few nights I’m up late looking for something to photograph.
I read a study that said less than 50% of people who made New Year resolutions are maintaining the resolutions six months later. I’m hoping I’m in that minority in July.
