North American International Auto Show 2010: Part 1

January 14, 2010 By Deborah Edwards-Onoro

(Last updated January 15, 2018)

Thanks to connecting with @freeismylife earlier this week, I was one of 18 Detroit Tweeple who had a sneak preview (courtesy of @NAIASDetroit) of the 2010 North American International Auto Show (#naias) at Cobo Center in downtown Detroit, Michigan last night.

We had a whirlwind one-hour tour of the show. It was amazing!

We were all so busy tweeting, taking notes, and shooting pics that we didn’t get a chance to greet everyone. I didn’t realize @cbaccus, @HajjFlemings, @MaureenFrancis, @darealchrisreed, and @becksdavis were in the group. Catch up with you in Twitterland!

I’m still working through the photos, but here’s a preview (Part 1) of my shots.

gold two-door Ford Mustang.

orange, white, and red CT&T mini vehicles that look like golf carts.

silver front grill of a Lincoln car

Denso display signage.

two men walking through the blue Ford display.

maroon four-door Honda Clarity

two-door red CR-Z sports car.

Audi emblem of intertwined circles on white wall.

front view of silver Mercedes Benz CL 550

And here’s Part 2 of my 2010 North American International Auto Show photos.

Name That Building

January 10, 2010 By Deborah Edwards-Onoro

Michigan State University building entry door

We took a trip to East Lansing, Michigan today. It was a sunny, but really cold day (temperatures somewhere in the teens). The campus grounds were covered with snow, but all the walkways and streets had been cleared.  Quiet campus since few of the students had moved back in for the start of the semester.

We really enjoyed the architecture of the older buildings on campus. I shot some photos around campus as we drove through. Can any Michigan State University alumni/friends identify this campus building photo from the architectural detail above the entry doors?
