"I appreciate our meeting today. It has been so frustrating to try to straighten it all out, but after speaking with you, I have hopes for the site that I never had before."

"Your willingness to work with our board is truly a gift. Thank you for today's lessons."

Jeanette Bartz, Board of Church and Society

User Experience Reports

User experience focuses on understanding and improving the interaction between a user and a website. When users can't find what they are looking for on a website, users give up looking and don't return to the website. A website providing good user experience:

  • Is simple to use and easy to learn
  • Focuses on the expected audience
  • Provides meaningful content
  • Supports completion of tasks
  • Tolerates errors
  • Is aesthetically pleasing

Thorough reviews and analyses, focusing on specific user experience issues, provide valuable insight in website design.

Accessibility Inspection

The website is examined for compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) checkpoints. Accessibility issues are documented with recommendations that not only improve the ability of users with disabilities to access the website, but also benefit all users.

Competitive Analysis

An analysis of similar competitive websites is completed to identify strengths, content/functionality, technology, and areas of improvement for features to include in a new website or consider for an existing website.

Interface Redesign

The existing website is analyzed, consideration is given to the website's strengths, limitations, and use of the principles of interface design. Coding the new design is discussed and digital wireframes of the redesigned interface provided.

Site Outline and Diagram

The existing site structure, labeling, navigation, and organization of content on the website are analyzed to identify strengths and specific areas of improvement. The site outline and site diagram provide visual representations of the existing site structure and functionality.

Task Analysis and Storyboards

Transactional processes are deconstructed to identify areas where streamlining and optimization can occur. Wireframes are created to show interface redesigns for the various processes examined.

Usability Inspection

The existing website is examined for sitewide adherance to usability guidelines. Unique issues for website sections and individual pages are noted.

User Testing Report

Users complete a set of tasks on the website while their actions are observed and documented. The purpose of user testing is to identify strengths and weaknesses in the website design so improvements can be made.
