Accessibility Statement

Lireo Designs is committed to providing a website that can be accessed by everyone. If you encounter difficulties using this website, contact us.

Fonts

Relative font sizes are used for text; the user can easily resize text through browser controls.

  • In Firefox and Internet Explorer, text can be resized through the View -> Text Size dropdown menu.
  • In Opera, text can be resized through the View -> Zoom dropdown menu

Images and Stylesheets

Images used in this site include descriptive ALT attributes. If your browser does not support stylesheets, or you turn stylesheets off, the content of each page is still readable.

Access Keys

Access keys can be used in most browsers to navigate a website using a keyboard. On Windows, hold down the ALT key and select the number of the access key. Note: In Internet Explorer versions, you may need to press ENTER after selecting the ALT key and the access key. On Macintosh, press CTRL + an access key.

Firefox 2.0 uses Shift+Alt as the keystroke combination for access keys. Unfortunately, this key combination breaks any websites that have implemented access keys using numeric values. In Firefox 2.0.0.1, numeric access keys work.

Access keys used on the Lireo Designs website include:

  • 0 - Accessibility Statement
  • 1 - Home
  • 2 - Skip Navigation
  • 9 - Contact

Opera and Keyboard Navigation

Opera provides excellent keyboard navigation for users. To navigate headings in Opera:

  • Use the S key to move to the next heading on the page
  • Use the W key to move to the previous heading on the page

"... a key principle of Web accessibility is designing Web sites and software that are flexible to meet different user needs, preferences, and situations.
